Practical Childbirth and Parent Education (PCAPE) was born in response to requests from area nurses and childbirth educators for accessible, affordable continuing education programs to meet their certification and re-certification requirements.

Childbirth Educator Sharing Day

All interested Central Illinois Childbirth Educators are invited to attend an old-fashioned "Sharing Day". In the early 70's when the childbirth education movement was young, area childbirth educators would gather each year to share ideas, view new audio-visual materials but mostly talk about our classes. We'd share what was working well for us and ask for ideas to improve what was not working.

Bring your class schedules, brochures and any other materials you wish to share. I will have teaching materials for previewing. We will play some games suitable for use in childbirth classes. Email me if you have a game you plan to teach the group so we can schedule to allow everyone time to play. We can divide into 4 break-out groups depending on the number attending and the expressed interests.
